b. Set circuit breaker CB1 and the power switch to the ON position.
(1) If circuit breaker CB1 stays in the ON position, the smoke generator cable assembly has a
short circuit. Set the power switch and CB1 to OFF; then reconnect the cable. Notify organizational
maintenance.
(2) If circuit breaker CB1 moves to the OFF position, the control panel has a short circuit.
Set the power switch to OFF; then reconnect the cable. Notify organizational maintenance.
PART C -- PERFORM OPERATOR-LEVEL TROUBLESHOOTING
PROCEDURES WHEN THE ENGINE WILL NOT START
This part discusses operator troubleshooting procedures when the smoke generator engine will not start.
Follow these procedures to correct the malfunction.
NOTE: Steps 2 through 4 require two people.
Step 1.
Start the vehicle engine, if it is not already running.
Step 2.
Check the ignitor and the ignitor cable (Figure 1-6 on page 1-7).
a. Disconnect the ignitor cable from the ignitor. Place or hold the end of ignitor cable 1/4 inch
from the frame assembly.
