(4) Engine tube. The engine tube serves as a combustion chamber and discharge baffles.
Inside the combustion chamber the hot gases, caused by the fuel-air mixture explosions, atomize the fog
oil. Successive explosions of fuel-air mixture force the atomized fog oil and exhaust gases out the back
of the smoke generator through the discharge baffles. There the fog oil condenses in the air and forms a
whitish-colored smoke.
