the tank falls below 63 psi. The two air filters remove dust and other particles from the air before it
reaches the tank. The purge valve under the tank allows moisture condensation to be released from the
tank.

(g) Control Panel Assembly. The control panel (Figure 1-13) consists of a circuit breaker
CB1 (1); separate power (2), fuel (3), engine (4), and fog oil (5) switches with indicator lights, an air
indicator light with a purge button (6), a temperature indicator (7), and a fog oil flow knob (8) for each
M54 Smoke Generator; a fire test switch (9); a fire alarm light (10); viewing lamps (11) with a dimmer
switch (12); and supporting cable connections (13).
On the M1059, the control panel is mounted inside the vehicle behind the engine compartment with an
adjustable seat for the operator. On the M157/M998, the control panel is mounted between the driver
and TC seats and angles toward the TC.
