c. Stopping Procedures. Follow these procedures for stopping the M157 Smoke Generator
System when external temperatures exceed 90 F or if the set must be started again soon.
Step 1.
Turn the fog oil flow control knob (5) fully clockwise to increase the fog oil flow.
Wait three seconds (500 F on the smoke temperature indicator).
Step 2.
Set the engine switch (6) to the OFF position.
Step 3.
Set the fog oil switch (7) to the OFF position.
Step 4.
Set the fuel switch (3) to the OFF position.
Step 5.
Wait for the air indicator to light. Depress the purge button (4), hold it for three
to five seconds, and then release it.
Step 6.
Set the power switch (2) to the OFF position.
Step 7.
Set circuit breaker CB1 (1) to the OFF position.
