Capability of Ground Survey Parties.
Any powered vehicle is satisfactory for conducting ground surveys.
All
vehicles have approximately the same area coverage capability of between 15
and 40 square kilometers per hour per vehicle, depending upon the degree of
detail required, the road net, and traffic of the contaminated area.
However,
because
of
the
superior
shielding
and
cross-country
characteristics, the tracked armored vehicle is preferred.
