Execution. This paragraph will expand upon the mission and how it is to be accomplished. It will
contain the commander's concept of operations and specific assignments for the survey parties.
a.
Concept of operation. This subparagraph states in brief the leader's tactical plan as taken from
the leader's concept or developed during the staff planning process. Although brief, this
paragraph should be stated in enough detail to insure appropriate action by the survey teams if
specific instructions are not given.
b.
Specific assignment of each party. In subsequent separate lettered subparagraphs, give the
specific task of each survey party. Include the co-ordination required.
c.
Co-ordinating instructions. The last subparagraph of paragraph 3 contains instructions
applicable to two or more of the survey parties, such as:
1.
Time of departure and return.
2.
Routes and alternate routes to and from the contaminated area.
3.
Coordination required.
4.
Dose or dose-rate danger limitations (for example, turn-back dose rate and Operation Exposure
Guide).
5.
Actions to be taken upon reaching turn-back dose, dose rate, or the Operation Exposure Guide.
6.
Whether and when marking of contaminated areas is required.
7.
Where the teams are to debriefed, when the debriefing will occur, and who will conduct it.
Administration and Logistics. This paragraph contains information such as required equipment and
forms. The equipment would be the dosimeters, survey meters, radios, and other equipment required for
the specific mission.
Command and Signal. This paragraph contains communication-electronic and command information.

Signal.
1.
Survey reporting procedure.
2.
Index and issue number of the Communication-Electronics Operation Instructions (CEOI) in
effect.
3.
Call signs, code to be used, and reporting times.
