FUEL AND PERFORM BEFORE-OPERATION CHECKS ON THE M3A4 SMOKE GENERATOR
Once a smoke generator has been positioned, the operator will perform a series of checks and services
to ensure the smoke generator is ready to make smoke.
Fueling Procedures for the M3A4 Smoke Generator
The procedures used for fueling the M3A4 smoke generator with gasoline and fog oil are discussed
below.
Fueling the Generator With Gasoline. Procedures for fueling the generator with gasoline are the following:
Step 1. Insert the flexible spout (from the tool roll) into the gasoline can and clamp securely.
Step 2. Remove the fuel tank cap from the generator; use the gasoline can and fill the generator tank to
within 1/2 inch of the top.
Step 3. Replace the fuel-tank cap.
