PERFORM OPERATOR MAINTENANCE ON THE M3A4 SMOKE GENERATOR
The smoke generator operator will be required to perform operator maintenance on the M3A4
smoke generator. Procedures cleaning the fuel sediment strainer, cleaning the fuel filter, replacing the
spark igniter, replacing the fuel tube, replacing the engine head assembly, repairing the engine head
assembly, cleaning the air check valve, and cleaning the fog oil inlet hose are shown in Figure 17.
