to keep chemical and biological agents from penetrating the Kevlar Helmet
and the helmet cover.
f. Storage.
The Standard A Battle Dress Overgarment (BDO) ensemble should be stored
in accordance with local unit standard operating procedures (SOP). The
packaged overgarment should be inspected for tears and punctures before
it is stored.
Storage should be in a dry, sheltered area.
The
overgarments should be stored by size and in a protected damage-free
environment. The overgarment has a shelf-life of five years after field
testing.
