Step 4. Snap both ends from a sampling tube and press the unmarked end into the adapter (figure
29).
Step 5. Hold the sampling tube pointing down, very close to the ground or liquid. Compress the
aspirator bulb 60 times.
Step 6. Remove the sampling tube from the adapter and place it in the envelope containing the
completed report card.
Step 7. Repeat the sampling procedure with four more sampling tubes. Place each tube in the
envelope.
Step 8. Seal the envelope and forward it to the chemical laboratory designated in the unit's SOP.
